Our 09:00 am morning service is relaxed, family-friendly and perfect for anyone who wants to connect with Christ in an intimate way. The perfect way to start your week. Children’s Ministry is open 15 minutes before each morning service.
We meet every Sunday at Ruimsig Walk Retail Centre (Old Farm City), Hole-in-One Avenue, Cnr Hendrik Potgieter & Viljoen Street, Ruimsig.
For those who cannot attend in person on a Sunday join us via live stream on Facebook or Youtube!
We are all about encountering Jesus! Expect friendly smiles, helping hands, people from every stage and walk of life, energetic praise, and an inspiring message from the Word of God relevant to your daily life.
It is important to us that children feel part of the bigger picture of church. The Thrive Kids team of teachers and helpers treasure and love your children. We aim to instill the Lord’s truths in them as He leads us. We want to grow and equip our kids for the future so that they can become mighty men and women of God – while having fun! Children are important to Jesus and He loves them. We see this in the Word where it says “Jesus took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them” (Mark 10:16, NKJV). This is the heart of God. Rest assured that we will also treat your children with utmost importance and care.
We have a dedicated area for parents with babies and toddlers under 3 years old. The Mom & Baby Lounge is equipped with audio as well as a changing station, private breastfeeding room, comfy couches and toys. Here youngsters can have some room under the watchful eyes of their parents while adults can still follow the sermon.
We practice the baptism of believers and not of infants. If you’ve received Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and have not yet been baptized by immersion in water, we warmly encourage you to contact us for more information. Pamphlets and sign-up forms are available at the Welcome Desk on Sundays or via email. We’d love to include you at the next available baptism opportunity.
Since we don’t baptise infants in water, we choose to dedicate children to the Lord during a church service. Contact us to make the necessary arrangements at the next available date on the events calendar.
We commend couples serious about sharing their lives who want to get married as instituted by the Lord. We have access to reputable marriage officers to assist you with the ceremony. Please enquire at the office about the process of booking your wedding ceremony through the church. A pre-marital course of approximately 9 sessions is compulsory. This should be arranged as soon as you’ve set a date for the wedding.
Most definitely. We believe that returning ten percent (10%) of your income to the Lord activates the blessing of God over your finances. It also ensures the continued operation of the local church where you are spiritually fed and makes you a partner in Kingdom work. Learn more every week during the short teaching before tithes and offerings are received at our services.
For security reasons we encourage the electronic transfer of tithes and offerings. We also have a separate account to save towards maintaining our property and instruments etc. Please make use of the details provided. You can also donate with your debit card at the Welcome Desk every Sunday.

Yes, prayer is powerful! We have a monthly time of prayer in person at the church. This happens on a Saturday morning from 9:00 – 10:00. It is a great opportunity to pray for our church members and for our country according to 1 Timothy 2:1-4. Please check our events calendar for the date of the next prayer meeting.
Bringing your time, talent, hands and feet to serving at church is a wonderful opportunity to grow personally and to get to know other people. Simply approach the co-ordinator of the department you’re interested in, and they will deploy you. Alternatively ask at the Welcome Desk or send us an email and we’ll put you in touch with the relevant people.
